Hi there, my name is Maeve (like “wave” with an M!), but you can also call me Mae. I have worked with non-profit organizations and in healthcare for many years, which has shown me how unique everyone’s lived experiences are. I’ve learned that healing is not linear; there will be both good days and bad days, and anything in between. What matters most is meeting people where they are in their journey and sitting with them through difficult times.
In my work, I make an intentional effort to leave assumptions at the door and let you lead, because you are the expert on your own lived experiences. I truly believe we all have the capacity for change, and that journey often begins with the courage to ask for help. When you work with me, I want therapy to feel as comfortable and natural as possible. I aim to create an environment where you can feel at ease being yourself, without pressure or judgment.
A little about me: I’m naturally curious, and I value learning just as much as I value listening. I want to get to know you not just as a client, but as a person, your story, your past, and where you want to go in the future. I know that we all come from different cultural backgrounds and experiences, and I hold a deep respect for that diversity. My goal is to remain open, adaptable, and willing to learn, so that I can tailor therapy to fit you as an individual rather than a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
